OUR SCHOOL
The Adventure Center
The Adventure Center is a warm welcoming area students gather each morning when they arrive at school. It is a spacious room with a ramp, cave, beautiful trees, plants, fish tanks and also a variety of adapted toys and accessible equipment for them to explore and play with.
Students also spend time there playing during recess & lunch time along with choir, numerous special events throughout the year such as their unique holiday-celebration of various cultures as well as the magical visit from Santa Claus. The Adventure Center is a unique and beautiful area at Sunny View.
Snoezelen Room
The Snoezelen Room was funded through a generous donation from the Scotia Bank over 15+ years ago. It provides our students with a variety of sensory, auditory, tactile and vestibular experiences in a calming environment.
The Snoezelen room is an ideal setting for students to relax, engage with lights, sounds, a bubble tube activated through single switches, various scents, and even comfy mats and a swinging chair. This room is important for many students at Sunny View.

Swimming Pool
The swimming program/pool is an invaluable program for the students of Sunny View as it allows them to be in warm and inviting 90 degree water. The program helps students move and exercise their arms and legs in a comfortable safe setting.
Movement in a warm environment facilitates increased range of motion, improves muscle tone, and encourages relaxation. Some students also improve their confidence in water and develop their swimming skills. Sunny View has two pools the larger pool and a smaller therapeutic pool.
