Friends of Sunny View School Charity

Who we are​

We are the Friends of Sunny View School Charity (previously known as the Sunny View Youth Involvement Association).

We support the needs of students with complex physical and developmental needs and their families who attend Sunny View Elementary/Junior Public School, within the Toronto District School Board.

Our website will show you who we are, the primary focus of our fundraising, the other areas we need help with and a snapshot of our school, programs.



Students Needs

The needs of the students and their families are as great as ever.  We are asking you to support Sunny View School through the Friends of Sunny View School Charity and Canada Helps a secure website.

Sunny View School

Sunny View School is a Toronto District School Board, dual track school for students with physical and developmental disabilities.

At Sunny View, we are focused on eliminating barriers to learning for the students by providing a welcoming environment where they can participate in programs that have been specifically designed to meet their educational needs. Safe opportunities are provided to the students to develop their independence and to encourage them to take risks to the best of their abilities

Funds raised

Our primary fundraising goal

• Purchase specialized equipment for the New accessible outdoor playground  to be built this summer.

Other funds will go toward:

• The Toy Doctor program which designs and adapts student equipment

• Physical and Occupational therapy equipment

• Adapted gym equipment

• Alternative communication devices
